Absolutely fantastic experience with the staff at the Northern Liberties location. Every person I encountered was so kind and reassuring during our visit. Thanks to their help, my turtle will hopefully be getting better soon. I am so very grateful for their expertise and support.

Losing Macey has been one of the most painful experiences of my life, and writing this review is not something I do lightly. I want to acknowledge that the staff showed compassion during an incredibly difficult time, and I know veterinary medicine is complex and emotionally demanding work. However, I left this experience deeply unsettled by aspects of Macey’s care and the pace of clinical escalation during her hospitalization. Macey had a history of recurrent infections, including recurring UTIs, and at the time of hospitalization she was also dealing with an ear infection in addition to severe pneumonia. Over the course of more than 24 hours in the hospital, I watched her condition continue to decline while remaining on the same course of antibiotic treatment unbeknownst to us. What has stayed with me most is that when the overnight doctor came on shift, there appeared to be immediate concern and urgency around changing medications and escalating care due to suspicions of a antibiotic resistant virus. As someone who works in healthcare myself, that contrast has been difficult to reconcile emotionally and medically. I understand that medicine is not always straightforward and that not every patient can be saved. I am not writing this to attack the clinic or claim certainty about what could have changed the outcome. But as both a pet owner and a healthcare professional, I do believe reassessment and timely escalation are critical when a hospitalized patient is actively deteriorating. I loved my dog deeply, and watching her decline so rapidly while feeling uncertain about the treatment approach has left me with lasting questions and heartbreak. My hope in sharing this is not to disparage the clinic, but to offer honest feedback from someone who entrusted them with a beloved family member during a medical crisis.

Great experience from initial call to being shown out to our car by a team member. We were there in the middle of the night. Being in the ER surrounded by other pets and families, we could see why it may be taking a little longer to see the doctor based on the condition of other pets coming in. Even though we waited a bit, the nurses worked to get vitals and Dr. came by to make an intro. We were checked on frequently. Also makes you appreciate the work that goes on bc not one time was any single staff member not actively engaged with a family. Other clinics should take notes bc hospitality and care was next level. In terms of pricing, you get a breakdown of costs and treatment options to approve before they get started.

VEG is amazing. My daughter and I brought in our 8 year bearded dragon that was in severe distress. The entire team from the tech to the doctor was so incredibly kind and compassionate. We had to say good bye to Snowball, but we were treated with an overabundance of care and sympathy that I would not have expected for the loss of a reptile. The doctor knelt down and explained to my 13 year old daughter that she was giving Snowball a gift. She also assured my daughter that she took such great care of Snowball. that she lived a long and happy life. We found ourselves in an unfortunate situation. But the whole team at VEG made it so much easier for us. THANK YOU!
